On October 22, the Brown Center on Education hosted a policy seminar on Standards-Based Reform and the Poverty Gap: Lessons for No Child Left Behind. This is the book that came out of the conference sponsored a year and a half ago by WCER and IRP. Speakers at the seminar included Adam Gamoran, Laura Desimone, and Andy Porter, on the topics of teacher quality, tutoring for low-achieving students, and state implementation of NCLB.
